Sea pottery mosaic mirror
A piece of the seashore - or, rather, many pieces - brought into your home and on to your wall.
Decorative, evocative and functional.
Shards of china blue sea pottery beachcombed from the shorelines of Yorkshire, Northumberland, the beautiful spiritual Isle of Lindisfarne and the inner Hebridean islands of Scotland, make up this mosaic. We can only wonder at the tales of each piece might tell. All have made their way to the shoreline where time, tide and sand have worn down the sharp edges and created perfectly rounded and smoothed snapshots of history, of lives lived, of times past.
It stands proud of the wall giving a nice 3d effect and is signed on the back by the maker, Nicola Furbisher
Delivered beautifully gift-wrapped with a hand-printed/written card detailing its provenance, the artist is delighted to include any message from the sender.

Important: The sea pottery and sea glass I use are never treated or cut in any way. The only work done to change their appearance is if I drill a hole to hang them from. Thy inevitably bear occasional marks and stains from having spent so long in the sea. The joy is in finding them, creating a piece from them just as they are - and sending them on their way - perfectly imperfect little treasures ;-)
