I've always loved frogs for their varied colours and interesting shapes. After a visit to the Vivarium at Manchester Museum introduced me to the fringed leaf frog, my carved wooden leaf frogs came into being. Active at night, the fringed leaf frog sleeps during the day. These carvings are my representation of such frogs hanging around on leaves, making their shadows as small as possible to go undetected.

Each frog is hand-carved from spalted beech or walnut, and buffed to a smooth tactile finish. After carving the wood is treated with danish oil, and wax polish finishes it off. These frogs come with a mirror fitting to allow you to hang them on a screw on the wall. Just as in nature, every single one is unique, with different sizes, individual quirks in the wood texture, and the fringes on their legs.
