These hand carved decorated cooking spoons are ideal for using in the kitchen.

Carved from the lighter sapwood of locally sourced Bird cherry.

The spoons are axed out of a fresh log. Then the shape is refined using a straight knife and hook knife.

Once fully dry they are knife finished and then decorated.

The handles are painted with a blue milk paint. Once dry this is lightly rubbed back with wire wool to highlight the tool marks. The spoons are then burnished to give a smooth finish.

Finished in walnut oil. Not suitable if you have a nut allergy.

Wash in warm soapy water. (Do not put in dishwasher)

Choose from the two options, the squared bowl is great for general use and serving while the bowl with a flick is designed for stirring.
